In academic year 2022-23, Duke’s Campus Sustainability Committee (CSC) updated Duke’s Environmentally Preferred Purchasing (EPP) guidelines with the goal of maximizing value and effectiveness through an aligned supply chain model that the University and Health System utilizes. These guidelines build upon a strong foundation of sustainable procurement at Duke University, including the robust supplier diversity, local purchasing, and surplus reuse program.
