Duke Divinity School partnered again with Faith For Our Planet for a weeklong program for young faith-inspired climate leaders from May 24-30, 2025 at Duke University. The school welcomed 25 fellows from around the world for the third year of the program, which is designed to foster trust and understanding between individuals across faiths, cultures and sectors while equipping them with knowledge and skills to address climate change. Through expert lectures, interactive sessions, dialogues and vocational training, fellows developed faith-based climate action projects for their respective communities. The curriculum was delivered by distinguished specialists in religious studies, climate change, cross-cultural and interfaith relations, media and community work. A panel discussion moderated by Duke co-host Norman Wirzba, Gilbert T. Rowe Distinguished Professor of Christian Theology and director of research for the Office of Climate and Sustainability, featured the Rev. Dr. Luke A. Powery, dean of Duke University Chapel and professor of homiletics, and Dr. Ellen Davis, Amos Ragan Kearns Distinguished Professor of Bible and Practical Theology. LEARN MORE.
