Throughout the 2023-24 academic year, participants in the first cohort of the Climate and Sustainability Teaching (CAST) Fellows Program taught courses that they had spent the summer of 2023 revising to incorporate topics related to climate change and sustainability. This first cohort was comprised of 12 instructors from seven of Duke’s 10 schools.
In Spring 2024, a second cohort of instructors were selected for the 2024-25 CAST Fellows Program. This cohort included 11 instructors – including two from Duke Kunshan University – seeking to redesign 10 courses to be delivered during the 2024-25 academic year.
Both cohorts of the CAST Fellows Program have been supported by generous gifts from Jeff and Laurie Ubben and Mike and Karen Stone.
